One of UNICEF’s largest contributors is the European Union (EU), comprising several institutions with whom we have developed a strong strategic partnership. Together with UNICEF, the EU has significantly contributed to improving the wellbeing and protection of children in 140 countries and territories.

The EU invests in programmes for children across the world and has adopted policies and frameworks to promote their rights. UNICEF maintains a strong and fruitful dialogue with the EU, focusing on development assistance, humanitarian aid as well as policy and advocacy. As one of the most important political and economic voices in the world, the EU’s commitment to continue to support and advocate for children’s rights remains essential.
